Topic: The Myth of African Poverty...
An article i had to share ...

There is a great fallacy, a lie perpetuated through history and around the globe: that Africa is poor.

Africa is presented as poor, because it doesn’t have any of this strange folding stuff called money. It has plenty of everything else, it is what capitalists and prospectors call resource rich.

Indeed, it is the most perfect place to grow our tea, coffee, cocoa… fruit, vegetables, flowers… and harvest our rubber, hardwood… oil… jewels, minerals… It’s enough to destabilise governments for!

We then offer them some of this folding stuff and they fall back into line. And lie and cheat and steal all the way from the top down, so this paltry representation of real value never gets anywhere near those who work the land or were driven off it. Yet because the dispossessed were duped with the concepts of land ownership and hierarchical authority (and violence), they feel disempowered and they too have fallen under the spell of this strange stuff called money.

Africa has never been poor. It has a history and wealth of diversity unequalled. And further, if we are to believe our anthropologists and geneticists, the very birthplace of humanity. Surprising then, is it not, that while in Western Europe and North America we’ve decimated the forests, worn out the soil, polluted the rivers and water tables and exhausted the mines, Africa remains, to the large part, thriving and fruitful. A godsend to Western governments with stomachs to fill, corporations with consumers to satisfy and banks with interest to manufacture.

Africa’s Western educated, financed, supported, armed leaders remain happy to perpetuate this myth, too ignorant or seduced to wish any change in perception: preferring the enormous power and the largely unsupervised bankroll. Corruption further suits Western interests: favouring personal/tribal associates, backhanders, etc. creating resentment, division, tension and potential conflict.

Manufacturing and maintaining divisions is a tactic that dates back two and a half millennia. More recent however is the lucrative and thriving arms industry, the UK’s only remaining indigenous industry, which reaps the benefit of internal repression and maintaining fictitious borders – while banks, merchants and Western governments profit from the extraordinary value such power hungry individuals place on violence, and how little value they place on basic foodstuffs.

Again, we find this strange folding stuff valuing the most useless and dangerous commodities with enormous worth, although they have no practical purpose, while basic nourishment, God’s gifts and harvesting, are valued as virtually worthless (one should however note, upon reaching Western supermarkets their value will have multiplied many, many times).

So we find the impossible situation, where the richest place on earth is labelled poorest, continues to haemorrhage genuine wealth, while being kept enslaved and divided through arbitrary concepts and artificial boundaries, turning tribe against tribe and hoodwinking the people with the lie of money...

Chance has never yet satisfied the hope of a suffering people. Africans have to bear the brunt of their misery too because as a people we have not done enough to liberate ourselves. We spend too much time looking at other people and asking for help and hope to get on by the whitemans's goodwill. I have said this before but my words have fallen on deaf ears and I have BEEN ACCUSED of being racist for saying my thoughts while some others here were pleased to kiss white ass.

Our success educationally, industrially and politically, and socially is based upon the protection of a nation founded by ourselves. And the nation can be nowhere else but in Africa. We need to do something to get rid of this useless breed of Arican leaders with black faces and white masks who choose to be the whiteman's middleman rather than be the driving force behind change. They are a hindrance to the progress of Africans as their interests are not in the development of Africa but in it's arrested devolpment and continual expolitation by western nations. Africa needs new leaders with new ideals because the old order is killing us off slowly and surely and selling off the little we still owe to the western nations.

I do not advocate for violence but at times violence is the only way that we can achieve the change that we want because these bloodsuckers of the poor will not go out with a fight. There shall be no solution to the African problem until you, yourselves [me included], strike the blow for freedom and prosperity.

The problem in here as we have witnesed is the wholesale absorption of white colonialist values by Africans who have been hoodwinked and whitewashed by the whiteman to think everything white and western is the ultimate benchmark to judge advancement and civility.

the problem with neo-colonialism as it is now known: is that after independence our politicians found themselves stuck with political power as they didn't have the economic power of the colonisers. Hence the new emerging middle class of blacks quickly jumped at replacing the moneyed middle class of the colonisers that included insurers, bankers, enterpreneurs, businessman, engineers, scientists, industrialists, etc. However not having the capital to start their own companies/ diversify the production processes in industry/ or generate an income so that they could also feed the masses - they resorted to become middlemen to western colonisers. You find those black men [such as the one I mentioned earlier] running holiday resorts/ playing the middleman to western businesses/ heading recently privatised companies for whites [playing the puppet] and areas like that. For this reason you always see a growing number of African cats growing fatter and richer while the majority suffer. The poor are constantly brainwashed and made to repeat empty party slogans as they wait for their turn to get a slice of a cake that will never materialise because the new African middle classes make sure that whatever monies they make or the country earns from their white pay masters is stashed away in European banks, German cars, exquisite mansions in formerly white areas, holidays in Dubai, France, America, England and the likes. If only they made a few crumbs trickle to the masses things might be different.

I have always stated that for change to happen it will not come from ther top. Forget the Mandela's, Mugabes, Mbeki's, Obasajo, Odinga's, etc... the revolution will come from the peasants and the poor people. Our leaders have sold out the people's struggle. Uhuru/ Independence which was supposed to be a sweet drink of freedom has turned insipid in the mouths of the poor masses. Our forefathers have fought a battle to get us so far - now the onus lies on us to take the struggle to a new level and get these corrupt and ignoble regimes out of power and send these black leaders with black faces and white masks to hell where they belong.
